Each one hosts a large 5” touchscreen display for quickly navigating the menu, 2GB of internal memory for storing maps and traffic information, and a 3 hour battery for removing the device from a vehicle and carrying it around portably. The XXL 540 S is the standard edition. The 540 T adds lifetime traffic updates so that the IQ Routes engine can fine-tune routes based on current traffic data, while the 540 M adds lifetime map updates so users have access the latest US, Canada, and Mexico maps. Meanwhile, the 540 TM features both of the aforementioned services. One of the key features to the XXL 540 is Advanced Lane Guidance, a technology that provides users with extra clarity when navigating difficult junctions by showing them which lane to take. Features 5" LCD Display 2GB Internal Memory No External Memory Premium ... PROS: (1) nice big 5-inch screen that is easier to use and see compared to smaller gps units (2) IQ Routes technology gives you the fastest routes available (3) displays almost all info you could need on the bottom bar (4) gives you blinking speed alerts when 3mph over the limit (5) access to more than 7 million points of interest ... CONS: (1) mounting bracket is very stiff, tough to lock it in place and unlock it from the mount
