The HP Slate 500 is a mid-range to high-end tablet PC designed specifically for business use. It features an 8.9" WSVGA wide-viewing angle touchscreen, an Intel Atom Z540 processor, 2GB of DDR2 RAM, up to 64GB of internal flash memory and a Broadcom Crystal HD Enhanced Video Accelerator. Additionally, the Slate 500 sports two cameras--one rear-facing, one front-facing--and comes included with a dock and case. The Slate 500s Broadcom Crystal HD Enhanced Video Accelerator allows it to handle 1080p high definition media. However, since the Slate 500s display features a maximum resolution of 1024 x 600, the included dock sports an HDMI output for connecting to 1080p displays. Meanwhile, the Slate 500s two cameras allow users to capture 3 megapixel still images while a front-facing VGA camera makes taking self-shots easier.
