The Samsung ST65 is one of five low to medium-end, ST series digital cameras released together in early Spring 2011. Building from the entry-level ST30, the more advanced ST65 hosts a better 14MP sensor, an improved 5x optical zoom lens, and a larger 2.7” display. Like its peer, it also a slim and compact design so that it can be conveniently stored. The difference, however, is that it camera supports 720p high definition films, meaning users can capture video that is of a much higher quality. In addition, it adds along a bevy of additional functions. Included is Smart Filter, which gives images and videos an artistic edge; Tilt & Shift, which makes subjects look like tiny models; and Sketch and Defog, which add an emotional element. Like other ST cameras, the ST65 includes a USB port for transferring files to and from a computer, and a microSD slot for storing ... PROS: (1) colors typically come out rich and vibrant (2) video is sharp and clear, easy to record (3) tiny and light, ideal for carrying around with you (4) image stabilization is reliable and more than accounts for handshake (5) LCD is as large as they could make it on the back, easy to view and work with ... CONS: (1) going anywhere past 5x optical zoom ends up blurry and noisy (2) need to learn how the camera works to take full advantage of it, can end up with some poor pictures if you dont (3) low-light photos need work in post fairly consistently
