The Panasonic SC-HC55 Micro System w/ Integrated Universal Dock for iPod / iPhone also affords the enjoyment of a CD player, Bluetooth connectivity, and an FM/AM digital synthesizer tuner, which has 30 FM/15 AM station presets. The micro system has auto tuning and a programmable timer for play/sleep as well. It puts out 40W of RMS power through a 2-channel speaker system. To enhance the sound quality, Panasonic has endowed the SC-HC55 with Digital Bass, 4 EQ presets, a Surround Sound feature and bass/treble control.

The Panasonic SC-HC55 is a slim and flat shelf system with an integrated CD player and iPod dock. This is very similar to the Panasonic SC-HC05, but has the CD player and uses a different overall design. It follows the two previous models, the Panasonic SC-HC25 and Panasonic SC-HC35, which didnt include Bluetooth audio streaming or Internet Radio controls. The slim and flat design enables the unit to be mounted on a narrow shelf, and wall mounting is also supported. The touch-free sensor door opens when movement is detected, allowing access to the CD port and iPod dock. Dual passive radiator speakers combine with an advanced bamboo cone speaker to generate full-range audio with 40 watts of output power.
