The Panasonic SC-BTT370 is a home theater unit that includes a Blu-ray player and a 5.1 speaker array. This is the middle unit in the series, with larger speakers than used in the Panasonic SC-BTT270 and followed by the Panasonic SC-BTT770 which has expanded functionality. A pair of 2-way tabletop speakers serve as right and left channels, and are accompanied by a center channel and 2 smaller satellites for the rear. The subwoofer has been modified to be a down-firing mount, which enables a clearer and more resonant sound. In other ways they are the same, with a total of 1000 watts of output power and the Cinema Surround Plus system creating a smooth 3D audio effect. The Blu-ray player can handle 2D and 3D content, and will work with an iPod/iPhone direct dock for complete control of the portable units. Wi-Fi is also built in, enabling access to VIERA Cast online services. ... PROS: (1) minimal footprint - half height towers, tiny center and surrounds, slim integrated receiver / Blu-ray player (2) very easy to set up - colour coded cables included (3) integrated pop-out iPod dock (4) dual HDMI inputs for use with additional source components such as a media player, HTPC or game console (5) HDMI inputs pass-through to your TV without the unit having to be on - watch TV without having to switch on your speaker system ...
