Nikon D90 Digital SLR Camera with 18-105mm AF-S DX VR Nikkor Lens [Outfit] + Nikon 70-300mm Lens + 16GB Cameta Bonus Accessory Kit

Review : The Nikon D90 is a digital SLR camera made to replace the D 80. But the D 90 is more than just an upgrade. It has been given some of the new features found in the top of the line Nikon D series, one of them the highly acclaimed 3 in. VGA viewscreen. Equipped with Life View with contrast-detect AF that includes Face Detection Technology, the big surprise to some reviewers is that it has the first DSLR Movie mode with HDTV quality. The D90 was built for two markets: as a transition from a compact and as a camera for serious amateurs wanting expert photographic control at a lower cost and less weight than the top of the line, professional cameras. Features 12.3 megapixel DX-Format CMOS sensor Nikons exclusive EXPEED digital imaging processing 3 in. super density VGA color monitor 4.5 frames-per-second continuous shooting In camera pictire editing D-Movie Mode—Cinematic 24fps HD with ... PROS: (1) uses standard SD cards (2) HDMI output (3) large display of high quality (920,000-dot color LCD monitor with 170-degree wide-angle viewing) (4) very fast (0.15ms start-up, 65ms shooting lag, up to 4.5 frames per second) (5) Built-in image sensor cleaning ... CONS: (1) no continuous autofocus for video recording (2) Restricted to record only 5 minutes of HD video and 20 minutes of regular video (3) video recording suffers from"jelly-visio" (4) Bundled Software very limited compared to what one gets with a Canon

Review : The image quality is steady as a rock. Excellent color reproduction and superb dynamic range combined with Nikon's 3D Matrix metering ensure an outstanding DSLR. Nikon shows to be able to swiftly integrate innovations coming from the professional DSLR in the amateur market, making this segment also stand out from the crowd. The D90 is definitely worth its money and well worth stepping over to from the D80.

Nikon D90 Review

by Imaging Resource Monday, January 01, 0001
Review : Nikon rocked the DSLR world when they introduced their D90 SLR early this Fall, the first SLR that can record movies. Its video capabilities won't replace dedicated camcorders, but will provide welcome relief for photographers tired of carrying along a pocket digicam just for taking "video snapshots". Its movie recording is only one of the many exceptional features the Nikon D90 has to offer. It also incorporates the chromatic aberration correction capability first introduced in the D3 and D300 high-end models. This feature works regardless of the brand lens you're using, so the D90 promises to improve the quality of most any lens you use it with. Speaking of lenses, the Nikon D90 ships with one of the nicest kit lenses we've seen yet, a 18-105mm VR (vibration reduction, Nikon's name for Image Stabilization) model that delivers very good sharpness, and (thanks to the aforementioned CA-reduction capability of the camera) very little chromatic aberration. The Nikon D90 brings much, much more to the table, though, far more than we can go into here. If you're in the market for a high-end prosumer digital SLR camera, the Nikon D90 deserves to be near the top of your list for consideration. Read our Nikon D90 review for all the details!

Nikon D90 Review

by photographyblog.com Monday, January 01, 0001
Review : The Nikon D90 is the first ever digital SLR camera that can shoot video, in addition to its 12.3 megapixel still images. The D90 records 720p high definition video at 24fps with mono-sound for up to 5 minutes, which can be played back in style on the new 3-inch LCD screen with 170? viewing angle and 920,000 dots. Other advanced features offered by the Nikon D90 include Live View shooting with Face Priority mode, 850 picture battery life, Active D-Lighting, Picture Controls, and an ISO sensitivity range of 100-6400. The price of all this cutting-edge technology is a very reasonable £699.99 / $999.95 body only, or £849.99 / $1,299.95 with the new 18-105mm F/3.5-5.6G ED VR kit lens. We've spent the last couple of weeks putting the new Nikon D90 to the test.

Nikon D90 (body only)

Review : THE GOOD: First-rate performance; solid, well-constructed body with nice viewfinder; video capture capability; great photo quality. THE BAD: Middling kit lens; poor HDMI output implementation. THE BOTTOM LINE: Like the D80 before it, the Nikon D90 delivers an excellent dSLR for the money.

Camera Labs - Nikon D90 review

by cameralabs.com Monday, January 01, 0001
Review : The Nikon D90 is a feature-packed DSLR which inherits key features from the semi-pro D300, while adding unique capabilities of its own. As the long-awaited successor to the popular D80, it brings that model bang up-to-date with the latest features and gadgetry. So you get the same 12.3 Megapixel resolution, 3in VGA screen and HDMI port of the D300 in a body that shares the excellent build, viewfinder and AF system of the D80. On top of that the D90 features Live View and becomes the first DSLR in the World to boast video recording capabilities, including a 720p HD mode with mono sound. It's certainly a compelling proposition and as a stills camera, the D90 handles beautifully. The video capability is less consistent though, and there's also some very tough rivals at the same price point. In our full review at Cameralabs we've compared the D90 against its key rivals and fully detailed the movie mode warts and all. You'll also find sample images and direct comparisons at all sensitivities, along with a demonstration of its highlights - including movie clips - in our video tour.

DCRP Review: Nikon D90

by DCResource Monday, January 01, 0001
Review : The last Nikon digital SLR I reviewed was the D60, and to be honest, it didn't do much for me. My impression of the D90 is the total opposite: it blew me away. In terms of photo quality, manual controls, performance, customizability, and yes, its movie mode, the D90 is a home run. There are a few annoyances, such as slow focusing in live view mode and horrible bundled RAW editing software, but the positives far outweigh the negatives. The D90 is a digital SLR that I can highly recommend, without hesitation.

Nikon D90 Digital Camera Review

by Digitalcamerainfo.com Monday, January 01, 0001
Review : News coverage of the Nikon D90 introduction focused on the fact that this is the first SLR to shoot video, a feature long available on even low-cost point-and-shoots. After working with the camera for several weeks, though, we're less excited about the video than the D90's strong across-the-board performance shooting stills. This 12.3-megapixel camera is easy to handle, scored very well in nearly all of our lab tests, and offers effective training-wheel features for newbies without losing any of the hands-on fine-tuning seasoned Nikon shooters expect. It sells for $999.95 (body only) or $1299.95 bundled with a new 18-105mm VR lens.
