The Nikon AF-S DX NIKKOR 35mm f/1.8G is a fast lens built for low-light conditions and general photography. This lens is designed specifically for Nikon DX-format digital SLRs, offering a picture angle similar to a 50 mm lens on a Nikon FX-Format digital SLR or a 35 mm film camera. The f/1.8 to f/22 aperture allows low-light, environmental portrait and general photography. Aspherical lens element reduces aberrations to improve quality, and Super Integrated Coating (SIC) reduces flare for more true color representation. Focus is handled with a Silent Wave Motor (SWM), which enables fast and accurate autofocus with low noise. The SWM also allows a full-time manual focus, enabling quick switches from one subject to another. The rounded 7-blade diaphragm creates a more natural out-of-focus area for background elements.
