The Sony MDR-DS6500 is a high-end, wireless headphone set complete with a charging and transmitter station. The design of the headphones includes leather, over the ear cushions for comfort and sound quality, and additional cushion at the top band for comfort on the top of the head while in use. The headphones are capable of 7.1 surround sound for a very high level of sound and a high quality surround sound experience. Battery life for the unit is roughly twenty hours with about a three hour charge time, allowing for almost a full days use for each charge; additionally, as a wireless system the range of the transmitter about 320 feet which is enough to provide coverage for most homes. In addition to music, games and movies can also be tuned in for use to provide full 7.1 surround sound to one person without the need of several speakers around a ... PROS: (1) Sound is crisp- especially when hooked up to the right equipment (2) Comfortable to wear for an extended period of time (3) Stylish charger- will fit in well in most home theater rooms (4) Lightweight- will forget you have them on after a while ... CONS: (1) The preset modes are not very good- Cinema/Game modes produce an echo sound (2) Can experience some lag between the audio and video (3) Setup is not easy if you want to connect them to multiple devices through an AV receiver
