The HP LaserJet Pro M1217nfw is a multi-functional laser printer. It can be used via a traditional USB cable as well as over a wireless or wired network. The M1217nfws list of functions include print, copy, scan, and fax. It is designed for a 8000 page per month duty cycle, and it uses a 1600 page all in one cartridge;. The built-in fax function has a 500 page memory as well as an automatic document feeder. Other features includes an intuitive control panel with a LCD display, 150 sheet paper tray, and a fast warm up time of 8.5 seconds. Unlike many other printers, the M1217nfw does not require a software CD to setup the printer, the user can simply plug the printer into a PC via an USB cable and the run the HP Smart Install utility. The HP LaserJet Pro M1217nfw is a good option for buyers looking for ... PROS: (1) fairly compact considering the functionality, not an overly large footprint (2) setup is simple and quick, dont even need the instructions really (3) easy enough to use that the office staff doesnt need to be given lessons (4) prints come out fairly quickly, only have to wait a few seconds (5) instructions for fax and answering machine are easy to follow and accurate ... CONS: (1) keypad is flimsy, needs to be supported with one hand while you press buttons with the other
