The LG LMV1680ST is a low mid-cost 1000 watt over-the-range microwave oven, the base model in this series of microwaves. The 12.7" turntable of this microwave is equipped with Dual Distribution technology, which circulates the heat inside (with turntable rotation and use of the top fan) for even and thorough cooking. Touch the turntable once to turn this feature on, and twice to turn it off. The sensor cook feature of the LMV1680ST, a common feature on LG microwaves, gauges the humidity of the cooking food, and automatically stops when the food is at the ideal temperature, thereby eliminating over and under cooking. The melt/soften setting is ideal for butter and margarine. This microwave is a step down from the higher cost LMV1813ST in that it has a lower wattage (1000 as opposed to 1100), smaller turntable (12.7" as opposed to 14.2"), a smaller cavity capacity (1.6 cubic feet as opposed ... PROS: (1) installation is not difficult, brackets and bolts are all included (2) heats food evenly every time, good consistency (3) controls are simple and intuitive, dont really need the instructions (4) looks attractive and sleek, matches other stainless steel finishes (5) wipes clean in just a few seconds, easy to clean up ... CONS: (1) vibrates quite a bit while in operation, needs to be securely mounted (2) fan is louder than most microwaves (3) weighs quite a bit, a little awkward to bring in the house and lift for mounting
