The HDR-CX560V forms the high end of Sonys entry-level HDR Handycams lineup, and though more expensive than the CX360V model, first-time buyers wont find the investment unrewarding--as the scaled-up model, the CX560V features a larger "Exmor R" CMOS sensor with ClearVid array, the ability to take higher resolution 12.3-megapixel photos, a larger memory and more versatile settings. The back-illuminated, "Exmor R" CMOS sensor of the HDR-CX560V promises better footage--even in low-light conditions--and takes a broader shot thanks to its Wide Angle G lens. In addition to 1920 x 1080 24p high definition footage, it also takes 12.3-megapixel photos, both of which are recorded to a 64GB internal flash memory that can store up to 26 hours of video. Other features include a 3" LCD touch screen display, Wind Noise Reduction, a Nightshot feature, built-in flash and a dial with a customizable function. Features: Shoots 1920 x 1080 24p high definition footage ... PROS: (1) use is easy and intuitive, nothing much to it (2) audio is directional and clear, subjects can be heard really well on the recording (3) comfortable shape, easy to handle and work with (4) low light picture capture is good quality, everything is reasonably sharp (5) image stabilization handles hand shake and some camera movement without a problem ... CONS: (1) some lens flare is clearly visible when shooting against a bright sky in some zoom ranges (2) LCD isnt bright enough to be very easy to see in sunlight (3) the eyepiece is hard plastic, no soft rubber guard
