Introduced at CES 2009, the G35 is a high end 7.1 surround sound headset by Logitech. Using a USB connection for power and data, the G35 provides 7.1 surround sound powered by Dolby technology as well as a variety of controls such as game macro setting, voice morphing, as well as quick access to volume controls and microphone mute. The headset also includes a unidirectional, noise cancelling microphone that will pick up your voice, and negate any unwanted background racket. The G35 will ship sometime in March with an MSRP of $130. ... PROS: (1) Mic auto-mutes when put into the up position. (2) quality construction (3) Uses Dolby Headphone instead of extra drivers making for lighter weight less bulky surround headphones. (4) interchangeable pads make it easy to get the best possible fit (5) unidirectional, noise canceling microphone make it easy to communicate in game - even in loud environments ... CONS: (1) software functionality is extremely limited (2) Requires a USB port, eliminating use with mp3 players, dedicated sound cards, stand alone DVD and media players. (3) cannot implement EAX 4/5
