The Sony Handycam DCR-SX85 is one of three flash memory-based digital camcorders (DCR-SX85, DCR-SX65 and DCR-SX45) released together in early 2011. The top unit in the series, the DCR-SX85 offers 16GB of onboard storage. Otherwise it’s the same thing, as it incorporates the same general components, including a Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar Lens with a 60x zoom (70x extended), a 2000x digital zoom capacity, and a touchscreen display. This camcorder can also record 720p video tracks with stereo audio. There’s even a speaker for immediate playback, though users can instead use Sony Picture Motion Browser (PMB) to listen and view their media on their computer instead.
