Review : The Denon AVR-2312CI is a mid-range to high-end A/V receiver similar to the Denon AVR-2112CI. The AVR-2312CI, however, sports a couple of significant improvements over the AVR-2112CI, namely 7.2 channels (meaning support for two subwoofers) rather than 7.1 rated at 105W each rather than 90W and 7 HDMI 1.4a inputs rather than 6. Otherwise, the two models sport similar features, including: HD audio support, Dolby Pro Logic IIz and Audyssey MultEQ XT support. The AVR-2312CIs dual subwoofer outputs allow it to provide greater bass response in larger rooms where a single subwoofer is not providing adequate bass response on its own. Its HD audio support allows the AVR-2312CI to handle Blu-ray high definition audio formats including Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio for exceptional audio fidelity. Meanwhile, the AVR-2312CIs Dolby Pro Logic IIz technology provides it with support for two additional height channels for enhanced surround sound. Features 7.2 audio channels at 105 watts per channel Equal power amp design HD ... PROS: (1) Reasonably priced for the features. (2) Compatible with modern network streaming technologies (DLNA 1.5, AirPlay). (3) Lots of HDMI 1.4a inputs (7) for connecting multiple devices. (4) Supports multiple modern audio enhancement technologies for greater fidelity. (5) Quick Select keys allow for quick and simple HDMI device selection. ... CONS: (1) Network/internet connectivity is restricted to Ethernet.
