The Toshiba 32DT2U is an entry-level 32" LCD HDTV with a native resolution of 1366 x 768. It features a dynamic contrast ratio of 30,000:1 (static: 3,000:1) with Dynalight technology, Native and Gaming modes, and 7W stereo speakers with Dolby Digital enhancement. Additionally, the 32DT2U sports a single USB port and standard video inputs such as HDMI, VGA and Composite. The 32DT2Us Dynalight technology enhances its 3,000:1 static contrast ratio to an effective 30,000:1 by dynamically adjusting the backlight intensity as needed for deeper black levels. Its Native mode eliminates over-scanning that can commonly occur with certain content, displaying it instead in its native resolution while Gaming mode turns off all image processing for decreased controller lag. Meanwhile, the 32DT2Us USB port allows JPEG files stored on any flash storage device to be viewed directly. Features Display Size: 32" Display Resolution: 1366x768 (720p) Refresh Rate: 60Hz Backlight: CCFL Brightness: 450 cd/m2 Response Time: 8.5ms ... PROS: (1) energy efficiency is very good, doesnt draw much power (2) picture quality is clear and sharp, details are good (3) remote control is intuitive and comfortable to work with (4) screen fights glare enough for most situations, isnt normally any kind of issue ... CONS: (1) some failures within the first few months are common, an extended warranty is adviseable (2) audio output never gets very loud, sounds tinny (3) limited number of inputs available, quickly run out of ports (4) not responsive enough for gaming, always a bit of lag
